NOTICE REGARDING APPLE’S 15-INCH MACBOOK PRO

Apple has recently announced a voluntary recall of a limited number of 15-inch MacBook Pro unit models manufactured from September 2015 to February 2017 which contain a battery that may overheat and pose a safety risk. In line with the ICAO Technical Instructions for the safe transport of dangerous goods, which states that defective lithium batteries or those recalled by the manufacturer are forbidden for air transportation, Fireblade Aviation do not accept these laptops onboard (carry-on) and or as checked-in baggage. Persons planning to travel with a Mac Book Pro Laptop are requested to check their devices and if affected, comply with the recall requirements before travel.
